The three years of upper secondary education are organized in the
following way: for the first year, our students are to follow a
generally common
curriculum, completing the nine qualifications of our pre-orientation years. Most subjects are
to be taught in English, although our students should have already
begun two additional modern languages (for example, Chinese and Arabic).
In Secondary 10, all students are to study Visual Arts and Physical Education & Health in their first language additional
to English.
In this pre-orientation year, our compulsory science has been
subdivided into physics, chemistry, and biology. All required credits are
awarded for achieving standards, rather than for time spent pleasing teachers.
Lessons are based on internationally harmonized curricula, and organized according to the following weekly lesson plan in Secondary 10:

1 These subjects are specializations of our high school, and are major subjects for this year: extra homework in them is compulsory, while homework is to be minimized by teachers of all other subjects.
